1970 Clayton and Rosselini in Sardinia: Clayton and Roberto Rosselini, famous Italian filmmaker, on the beach near Alghero in Sardinia in July 1970. They were attending a conference on flimmaking in Alghero. Clayton and Rosselini were working in Rome during July on an idea for a movie about science. The movie never was made, but Clayton's idea for it became his book THE DARK NIGHT SKY (Quadrangle, New York 1975)
