Wolfgang Gentner (right) converses with Donald Clayton (left) at a Teekolloquium in Max Plank Institut fuer Kernphysik, which Gentner founded as a leader of Post-WWII German science. Clayton lived part time in Heidelberg each year during 1977-82. He was on sabbatical from Rice as Fullbright Fellow for this 1979-80 academic year. Between them are G. Herzberg (Ottawa) and Heinrich Schatz (Karlsruhe), who supported the development at Karlsruhe of the s process neutron-capture program that Clayton also helped to initiate (ApJ 257, 821 (1982).
