OSSE Project Scientist Neil Johnson and Co-I Donald Clayton at coffee break during the First Compton Symposium, St. Louis MO, Oct 15-17, 1992. Johnson began his research career at Rice University with Robert C. Haymes. They discovered the general galactic 511 keV radiation during a ballon flight of their gamma telescope (Johnson, Harnden and Haymes ApJ, 172, L1 (1972)).
