Clemson University Wordmark

From left, Nancy Clayton, Ernst Zinner, Conel Alexander and Catherine Caillet at the Banquet of the 58th Meteoritical Society meeting, in the Air and Space Museum, Washington DC, 13 September 1995. Zinner and Caillet presented their paper at this meeting reporting huge isotopic excesses in both 48Ca and 50Ti in a calcium aluminum rich inclusion named "Porky". Amazingly that same inclusion was shown by them to not have had 26Al within it in normal amounts for CAI. Zinner was to receive the Leonard Medal of the Meteoritical Society at its Maui meeting two years later. Several pictures of Zinner appear on this site.
