Martha Fowler was frequent baby sitter for Clayton's sons during 1960-63 (see Clayton family photo from 1961 on this site). This is a rare photo of Pauling and Fowler together, two of Caltech's superstars. This photo was a gift to Clayton in 1975 from Fowler, and is surely a White House public relations photo.
